Influenza is a viral respiratory infection that typically causes sudden onset of fever, aches, and fatigue. Treatment is usually supportive, but some patients may require medical assessment due to risk factors or severity.
Rest, fluids, and fever relief (as appropriate) are commonly used. Avoid close contact with others when ill. If symptoms are worsening or you have significant underlying illness, seek medical assessment.
